   DEFINATELY DO NOT TURBO YOUR 328i!!!!!!!!!!!

   The BMW 328i has a ‘Nikasil’ coating inside the engine block, and if your turbo your car, the engine will just roll over and die. Then 328i is the only engine with the Nikasil in the 3 series so you could turbo a 325i if you wanted?

Fitted Schnitzer lowered suspension and M BMW 16 alloys – did not make any great improvement in handling but car now looks even sleeker. Dark Blue metallic paint is hard to keep clean. It isn’t a fire breathing 911 beater. The engine is a 1.9 DOHC 16V with 140hp. It is capable of performing very well, but has to be revved hard to do so. It’s pretty useless below 3000rpm due to having its max torque of 180Nm at 4300rpm. Once you get past 4300rpm, it starts to push you back into the seat, and will do so until about 213kmh. This 1.9 is practical and quite cheap to run. It goes like approx 10liters per 100km. (80% city 20% country) Handling very good because of M suspension, great fun, but a little twitchy in the wet which is what we want..Location: Bratislava

It should be more than 2 times expencive, than in US. My car drinks 7,0 liters per 100km (90% country). And still I enjoy RWD FUN!

    You can turbo almost any bmw, or car for that matter. it all comes down to proper tuning in the end. Guys you hear about who blow up their engines either a) didn’t get it tuned, or b) turned up the boost too much

    I have a turbo 325 and a supercharged 325, and both run without any issues….the 328 engine has a forged crank, so I dont see why it is being said the block is bad for boosting
