Only facing 1 problem, its got an A/T Conversion to be done really soon. Has anyone done A/T ->M/T conversion and do you knw if ill be facing any problems?

Hi,

I'm James and this is the first BMW I have owned, it's a 316i SE 98, it has a few minor bodywork issues (bubbling, few rust spots etc) but its mechanically sound. My one big gripe is the previous owners never had the remote central locking fob, but it was only £800.

Is it hard to track down what Alarm is in it to replace the key fob, or would it be better to get a completely new alarm?

Hello guys, just joined the forum and am excited to see what everyones has done to there E36's
I have just purchased a 1996 318is coupe with the M44 engine for a bargain price of £350
in silver with no scratches or dents, 1 owner from new, all receipts (even first ever purchase invoice) and paperwork, full service history with 170,000 miles, has a rare feature which ive never seen before which is electric pop out rear windows?
unfortunately does not have the M bodykit or climate control , but may look into fitting these in the future
this car has been truly looked after from the owner so do not want to do too much to it.
had some ideas such as, M3 or Alpina alloys, angel eyes, clear light pack and maybe tints?
Also wanted to fit an induction kit and some little mods to get some more power
Any advice on these points?
will be posting pictures soon of my car for you all to have a little look!

yes =] this is the 18s , grom e92 i think =] , the car was born 318is , but the last owner had a project with HER ;D to make it 328 , m-style , he also made the front bonnet to look like that =] , front brakes is from e92(just dont know how big engine it had )but minimum r17 wheels will fit =], good guy , i like this car really much , it was in perfect mechanical condition, just need some time to do the painting and some small corrections in interior , with automatic windows also and some other smallies. But in the end i think it will be great car =] . By the way , this cars i dont know how many years before , but it came from usa ;D i live in Lithuania . In lithuania in kind a fast street car , not many has m3 , so 2.8 is not bad to stand with some punks with let's say jap powered cars ;D i like honda's mazda's and other jap , but bimmer is some different

BMW are more interesting than Jap slaps. Yea i noticed your brake discs are bigger alright.
I like it, i really do!!! But i'd do a bit of painting with the mirrors though, 3 colors on a cars bodywork is too many, either navy or black to keep the carbon fibre look from the bonnet going.

I own a e36 318is

have added quite a few personal touches to it like:

new
19inch rims
Blue Neons wired up as the Trunk light
8000K CCFL halo lights
limo tints
smoked rear lights

Plus i got springs sitting in the garage will lower them about 2 inches from the rear and 1.5 from the front.
and i want to get HIDs real soon for both fogs and headlights.
