17s on a 325is

Hey Everyone,

I bought a 93 325is last fall, and thought the suspension was stiff. Turns out the seller put A springs in along with 17" rims and the car was too low. So, to compensate he put rubber spacers between the coils, which has made my car unsafe for obvious reasons. I went to a couple shops and none of them are sure what to do. One suggested I just need springs, but also told me there's no way to tell if my struts are good without putting on smaller rims that would allow me to test that out. I thought I should add that if I just take the spacers out I don't think the car will be driveable. I'm thinking about getting struts and springs together, but can't find many for cheap that don't drop the car back down.

Would these work?

Here are some pics, none of them really show my problem, but you get the idea

I really look forward to the advice.
