1994 e36 start up trouble

Postby fawwaz4949 on Wed Mar 30, 2011 6:18 pm

ive got a 1994 325i

sometimes when i try to start my car i turn the key and nothing happens, yet i will have all my dash lights radio working fine etc etc the engine just wont turn over

its so annoying, how can a battery be fine 90% of the time and then fail?

if i leave car alone for half hour or an hour and come back to it it will start no problem at all?????

help... ive changed a new starter and new relay... HELP

Have you checked the wiring on the back of the ignition barrel?? May be worth a look.

i got the same problem ... it aint related to the battery at all , it is strictly the starter and the marche in the engine ... i ve tried a temp solution n it worked just fine .. go to a mechanic they got 4wd cleanser spray n spray into the starter n put the key in & out for couple times , u will find the key is catching black dirt n that wht may cause the conflict ..
i aint convinced much with the solution but that wht i ve at the moment , if u got the real solution keep me updated

cheers ....
