BMW E36 Forum

Hey,
I am 21 years old, Ive had a 1995 BMW 325I since I was 16 and love the car to death. The other day i started it and it completely died on me within 30 seconds. The electronics inside and outside the car work fine. The engine also turns. I was told by a friend that it might be the crankshaft sensor. How can you tell this is the problem? And where and how hard is it to replace this part?

maybe the fuel pump relay?? may mates 325d diesel pump relay went on his last week!!??

It is probably the camshaft sensor not crankshaft sensor---see this article below--
