Hi there, i just joined this forum and am hoping you guys can help with two issues i have. First is the terrible rattling sound i get out of the top of the engine block when i start the car . But after a few minutes when the engine is warm it stops.No idea what it is. Second issue is my auto gear slips out of gear when i break suddenly and after a delay slips back into gear and nearly takes my head off. i have already topped up the ATF but the problem still persists. Please help .

Have you monitored the ATF fluid level and consistently gotten the same reading over 2 or 3 days?

The rattling sound, does it rattle the entire car or is it just a rattling/ knocking noise?

I have topped up the ATF.The Knocking sound is just at the top of the engine bay.

"The top of the engine bay" is fairly vague, your best bet is putting a video up on youtube of it, what it sounds like and where its coming from and put a link on here so we know where and what it is.
I could start naming things off for you now but it would just end up complicating things.
