328i Kidney Grille

New to this forum and BMW. I lost a front grille on my '96 328i convertible and am having trouble finding replacements. My car was manufactured 7/96 and the parts that should fit do not. Too big for openings. I pulled the remaining grille and searched by its part number, 51138185801, but find no matches. Anyone have this experience and know a solution to it? Thanks for any help.

Afriend of mine is having the same trouble not only size but if they are chromed or not and different shaped finns she's been looking for a long time but bein NZ there might be even less than whereever you are .... keep checking with the wreckers e-bay etc

Finally figured out my problem. My '96 328i had the front nose replaced at some time with a front nose from a '99 M3. Got kidney grille's to fit the M3 and the snap right in.
