Another idle problem

I recently had my compact 3 series (02 plate) serviced at a local garage. It was just oil, plugs and filters. Now when the car is on a low idle, like at the lights,it revs up and down and has cut out on a couple of occasions. This did not happen before the service and so Iam sure it is connected to their work. It seems to generally drive okay.

I went back to the garage and they checked the fuses and they checked for any loose pipes. They also put a general diagnostic computer on the car. This gave a reading of the lambda sensor being inactive? They said that they checked this (these?) and could not see any problems.

Can anyone help please?

Thak you

The lambda sensor is one of the most common reasons behind idle problems. I suggest you consider replacing it. It'll defintely help.

try having your fuel injectors and ICV (idle control valve) cleaned. Had mine done and car idles like a brand new car.
