bmw 1998 318i

hi thise car is new to me, my hobie is cars and engain fixind doing my self
i think that i need to adjust the engaine becuse its not have the power as i think that it sould be i mean that its not respond as i think it 1900 engain have to be more power then there is now
mybe i need to clean adjust some thing??? ' in my other cars there was destrebuotor that when i want to adjust i was circulate it and i notice the diffrent here i dont have?
i cheak the plugs its good ,'wire plug good, i put fuel clean, and its not help i change my air filter nothing happend ???
what and how could i tray to adjust the engain ?????

thanks sorry i know the question is very wide but mybe someone can help me !!!

318s only have a little engine... are you sure you're not just expecting too much.

You don't have a distributor because BMW used a much better system where instead of having one ignition coil connected to a dizzy, they have cone coil sitting on top of each spark plug.

A cheap and easy option is to try running a bottle of injector cleaner through your engine.
Another easy one is replacing the fuel filter.

If you believe you posses the skill you can play with the timing to try and extract a little bit more performance.

I would strongly suggest that you give your car a good general service. It'll most likely run better for it and will respond better to any adjustment you make to it.
