bmw e36 325 tds injector pump

i have replaced the injector pump on my car and i now cant get it to start. so i put my old one in and still i could'nt get it started. so i then got another pump and still it would not start. when i turn the starter over no fuel comes out of the pump( i have taken the fuel pipes of the back of the pump). the pump in the tank is working fine and is getting fuel to the injector pump. the pump is turning when i crank the engine. the fuel cut off solinode is working fine. could the problem be that i have changed the pump a few times the ecu does'nt like it and is using the fly by wire throtle to cut the fuel supply.
