Digital kilometers driven

Postby Fransua on Tue Mar 02, 2010 5:30 am

Hi guys
Can anybody maby help me..
On my e36 318i , the speedo clusters shorted and burd out.
I bought a set of second hand clusters but the reading of the kilometers that has been driven is 3335871 and my origanal km reading was 1054543.
How can i set this right and is there a d.i.y way of doing it?

You need software for your computer and cables to attach your computer to the unit, I would'nt have a clue where to find the software or cables.
Its not easy, your better off taking the little LED screen that was in your original cluster, if that still works you can take it out of the original cluster and put it in the new one. The memory of your mileage is actually stored on a small chip inside the LED unit and not in the cluster gauge.
The ONLY Hellrot Red 323 in the world, emmm except for the other few thousand dotted around the world.
