DIY Heat shield for your air filter

Just some pics of my DIY heat shield, i made it out of 2 side panels of a PC case.
Cutting up the panel:

"U" shaped rubber around the sharp edges.

Car and heat shield look good... not sure about the second heat shield lighting up though

yeah, the blue looks a bit gay, get a rice car for that!!

Well, regardless of what everybody else thinks, I kind of like the blue glow. It does look a little out-of-place with the rest of the engine looking so stock, but it doesn't look bad.

I really like it, i like it soooo much i might just rob the idea!!
Dont worry though, i wont be robbing your blue light idea though.

Hey man. thnx for the comments...
sorry thats all the pics i have, didn't really think i would make a DIY out of this.. just did it for fun and took some pics while i was working on it.. just get 2 panels of sheet metal or any old pc case would work fine, then measure the curves of the inside wheel arch and alternator. then just start by cutting and fitting, tail and error is all that will work to get the best result.

it sure seems to keep the heat away from the air filter (which is always a good thing) .. and depending on the weather there is a slight increase in power..
