Drivers Window stops

I have another question already and it only the my first day on the forum.
The Drivers side window keeps getting stuck and on the way up about half way it starts to go back down again.
Does any one have any trick to fix this or is it a case of getting the rubber seal replaced.

Thanks
Thepasty

Google around, there has been a few suggested fixes... none of which have worked for me. I have resorted to just hitting the up button till it gets to the top.

I doubt it's the rubber seal causing the problem because they usually do the same thing with the door open.

my passenger side does the same..try lubricating the rubber seal. failing that just hold your finger on the button. Mine doesn't do it with the door open so I'm guessing there is a sensor on the motor to stop anything getting stuck as the widow goes up

Holding the button down on mine doesn't do any good, it get to a point and drops. Still haven't found anything that'll fix the problem so I just have to keep quickly tapping the up button to get around it.

Your problem is the window regulator. It's a very complex-looking metal piece that sits in your door. After a while, they wear down and eventually break. Right now, yours is worn. When it breaks, the window will be stuck in whatever position it was in last. For my brother, this mean 'down.' Here's a link to the part for the driver's side:

$60 is a damn-good price, but I don't know about this site's reliability.
Shop around, but whatever you do, don't buy one used, on eBay! =P
