e36 323i wont start

Postby dookofspook on Fri Feb 10, 2012 8:16 pm

hi all can i pick your brains, ive owned my bmw for a couple of months now and she has run sweet but this morning i went to start her and she fired once but did not run just spun over with no firing at all got AA man out he thought she had flooded so took out plugs and i cleaned them and heated them while he spun her over without fuelpump fuse in put plugs and fuse in and tried starting her again she did try and fire but not enough to run then a huge backfire,if it was a cam belt car i would be thinking it had skipped a tooth and put timing out. After the AA man had given up i tried some more but she tried to go but wouldnt start i would be most grateful for any help as she is my only means of transport other than my motor bike which to be honest im not to keen on ridingin the snow
