hello everyone, im new on this forum, i happen to like this website as its helped me alot in some ways. what i wanted to find out is how to facelift the e36. i have a 94' 318iS and i like the kidney grille on the newer e36's. from what i have looked at so far i would need a facelifted grille panel and of course the facelifted kidney grilles. does the grille panel has the same fitment as the older grille panels? or is there any other way. also what else was changed in the facelift model (exterior wise)?

it has the same fitting.. u are talking about going from a flat grill to a curved one right?? i did that on mine.. fitted the curved ones without any modification..

OEM ones will not fit as the facelifted panel is also diff in size. After market Taiwan products do have curved grills for older panels...

you can also replace ur orange indicators to white, front and rear...

cheers..

If you want to use the post 96 OEM grill you need to change to nose panel. You can get after market newer style grills to fit the older nose panel. The one I bought off Ebay is fine as far as quality goes - have not had any problems with it.

I also drive a 94 318is. If you are going to do some interior face lifts, a M 3 spoke steering wheel is a really nice change. It feels great in the hand and looks sooo much better than the 4 spoke wheel.
