Fuel Flap locking servo

Hi I have a 1998 318is Coupe. The fuel flap locking servo would unlock but not lock. So i have replaced the servo and the new acts the same as the old one so is the fault with the car and what could it be? Thanks all

Yeah...I have the same with my 325i. I will be looking in my manaual later to see if there is anything to trace out. In the meantime, is this a fairly common problem?

I dont know to be honest this is my first E36 I am quite impressed for the money though

Right after this mine began to work intermittantly (don't you hate that???). I started looking from different perspective and found a loose connection....and of course, it doesn't lock or unlock with the valet key...only the master. Thanks
