This is the engine as it stands, just a little elbow grease and a lick of paint

A bit closer on the intake manifold/throttle body

Was given this gotta fit it next

A small tidy up on the headlights

And toned the taillights down a touch

Not a fan of silver alloys, figured this would look better

And finally needed somewhere for the sub to go, figured here was as good as anywhere!

And that's as far as I got so far. So what do you lot reckon?? I know it won't be to everyones tastes so I'll take the good with the bad.

Woah!!!!! I don't have kids I like my toys too much!! I don't even let my dog in this car :o

Although this weekend I have fitted HiDs, lowering springs 40/30 split, wheel spacers, the above induction kit, made and fitted a cat-back, dumped the black square oil filler and replaced with a pretty titanium jobbie, replaced the dust caps with logo'd black and white bmw ones and wired in different headunit and the backseat sub and amp along with a FLI sub in a box with built in amp in the boot.

And last weekend(or at least part of it) was spent fitting a pair of Corbeau bucket seats, really need to buy some harnesses next!

It's getting there now, next I will be making a front strut brace for it and then finish painting the wheels as only one is done so far! Then it'll be finish the front bumper, and clean the engine bay up.

Finally tomorrow is the day I get to start using the BMW as my daily drive/toy!!!! It's passed the MOT, it's insured and tomorrow I get tax. I've spent this weekend swapping the nitrous from the Hyundai over to the BM. The Hyundai is being adopted by my otherhalf who passed her theory a fortnight ago(hence the NoS coming off it).

I wanted the bottle mounted on the back seat in front of the sub so I took the bottom half of the seat out and started hacking at it with a bread knife. Layla expressed her thoughts with a black marker pen and so did a mate of mine

This was the state of my drive after the bread knife frenzy,

I made a wooden plate to bolt the bottle brackets to but forgot to take any pics of it before I put the rear seat back. But anyways here are the pics before and after the seat cover went on

And one from the drivers seat view

And after all this I fitted the solenoids and fogger. The only thing I have left to do is fit the arming switch which will be done tomorrow evening.

Next up will be tints, harnesses, changing the amp for the rear seat sub and swapping the blue and white BM wheel badges for black and white ones.

Last job tonight was to make sure I was safe to drive by adding my Voodoo Angel who looks after me :)

The last pic might look a little odd but I was using my hand to shield the reflection of the sun on the windscreen. The angel is hanging from the rear view mirror!!

Glad you are liking the wheels :) The idea of the nos bottle being there is so I can open and close the bottle from the drivers seat. The bonus is that I don't have any kids to fill the back seat so I thought I'd use it for other bits and bobs.

Hi,

Can you please tell me or show me more what you did to your engine bay?

Thanks

Paul

The engine hadn't been cleaned ever!!! I started with a spark plug wire brush to remove loose crap, then started with 40 grit wet and dry, then 60, 80, 120, 240, 400, 800 all dry then on to 1000, 1200, 1400 wet then on to mops attached to a power drill which were bought from Halfords and finally I used Solvol(Autosol) applied with newspaper and removed with a micro fibre cloth. Then it was masked up, primered, painted and lacquered using regular car paint(again from Halfords). I am quite impressed the paint has stood up to the heat of the engine. I'll load up some more pics tomorrow if you like :)
