hazard lites

Postby rennsport7 on Mon Oct 11, 2010 4:26 am

I've been having problems with my daughters hazard lites coming on by themselves. It would happen so often that it was necessary to keep my hand on the switch while driving. After replacing just about everything involved in the blinker/hazard circuit other than the wiring, I finally went to the underside of the fuse box, took loose the molex plug that the relay fit in and cleaned it thoroughly with spray electrical cleaner. I then blew it out with compressed air and did the same to the underside of the relay. It appears to have solved the issue, maybe a carbon trail or something. Can't say for sure but what a relief. I hope this helps someone in the future...

On my 325iC, the hazards start blinking when I start the car. I have to cycle the hazard switch on then off. I'll check-out your suggestion. Thanks.
