hello people, just bought my first bmw, a 318is (1993) and have been looking for some angel eye headlights but am getting very confused...

when i find some on ebay they say there for the 4 door, or the touring... as my car is a 2 door coupe will they still fit? or do these cars have a different fitment depending on the model?

Cheers

Matt

To be on the safe side I'd try and get the coupe ones. The bonnet is a different length between the two but I don't know it that effects the lights too.

I have a set of angel eyes from ebay but the plugs didn't fit nice so I used to come loose and I'd lose my high beams some times. The plastic fronts and cheap lenses can't compare to the genuine ones with glass and nice lenses... I know angel eyes are sexy but BMW did a very good job with the stockies.

If you have the skills I suggest buying the rings and putting them into your genuine lights.

Headlights are the same for sedan and coupe (and compact). If you have an USA bimmer maybe you could change your stock plastic headlights for something a lot better.

You could buy DJ Auto headlights which are cheap (120 USD a pair) and also buy angel eyes and fit them. It is very easy to do. Disassembling E36 headlights is very straightforward.

I purchased DEPO headlights, but I found that there is a number of procedures you have to perform before they work reasonably. I ended with nice bi-xenon headlights but it took some work.
