How to change the settings in a 1998 328i

Hi everyone!
I am new here and just bought a E36i. I love the car!
I recently figured out the unlock code for the stereo. However, my screen is very dim now. The area where it shows the station.... the word FLAT appeared and made the sound lousy. I am assuming there is some kind of EQ on board?? Also I want to make sure that the country is correct, antenna, etc....

Can some pls. help me with this before the wife kills me for her not being able to see the stations..
