Hi
I hope there isnt n post somewhere for this but i am having a lot of problems with my e36
I have an 316 1997 model that was in a good condintion till last week now i cant get the car to start,
all the ligsts come on and everthing works its just the starter motor wont turn at all.
A guy from BMW told me it has something to do with the ignitions autenticating system and that it doesnt see my key as the right one if that makes sense to anyone, He also told me that the car would be writen off as it would cost more then R20000(South African Curancy, mutiply that by 9 to get the $) to repalce this unit...Could it be that my starter motor has just gone and how can i test this...Please I would really apreciate any help.

Hi
There's two ways to sort this problem. 1st make yourself am emergency starter or I can make some plan for you as you're in South africa. It'll cost you about R3600.00 for my consultation fee. If you agree there's terms and conditions for this. Contact me for more info. Cheers.

I know it's a very long shot but when my original battery died pretty much everything in the car would still work but it wouldn't turn over, it didn't even sound like it was trying.
