knock sensors causing hesitation/choking??

Postby praz328i on Sun Feb 06, 2011 3:24 am

I have a 98 BMW 328i e36. so I have had my check engine light come on every once and a while only when i am driving a bit aggressive and sometimes right out of 1st gear into 2nd, i feel this hesitation or holdback or choke and car doesn't pull like it does and the check engine light comes on and it is just very annoying and am wondering if it truly is because of the knock sensors? I have gotten that reading on the OBDII scanner so yea. Help me out please and if any one got pics, I'd appreciate it.

I had the knock sensor fault on my engine a year ago and fixing it didn't change anything noticeable. Also, now, my car has no fault codes, but still feeling the same "holdback" you're describing here. I'm not sure what is causing it though.
