Never heard of it before. I'd check into the mirror etching first though, if there is an annual test that your car has to do, it may well fail from the etching. The back passenger windows would look great though, completely different to the usual decals people have on there cars.

Laser etched graphics WOULD look pretty good i must say. Depending on your alloys, it could look pretty good with some little designs etched into the spokes.
