Posted: Wed Nov 19, 2008 3:34 pmYes, i think you can do that, but your shocks will not last for long. I suggest that you replace the springs & shocks at the same time and from the same source. I think this is better if you're intending to do the job right.

most aftermarket springs forthe E36 will drop ur car between 30-35mm... which springs are you on wt a 40mm drop - on stock shocks i assume??
adjustables should give you the desired drop..ie, Bilstein PSS9... good luck!!
