Mis fire

Postby Chalkyraw on Sun Feb 10, 2013 3:11 pm

Hi

I've got a e36 t reg 328i m. Recently changed lambda sensor, but car had same fault with old sensors in. Car is mis firing on idle and has no acceleration when driven. Car feels like it wants to go but something is holding it back. Anyone else had this problem or could help me out. Gonna check coil pack and spark plugs when I get a chance. Thanks

Right had the car plugged in for diagnosis and only fault was the crank shaft sensor. So ne ideas where it would be on my 1999 328i please

Go to General Discussion in this Forum and look at the Sticky labelled Manual. You can download the service manual free from there. I would look it up in my Bentley Manual but it isn't with me right now. Wishing you luck. Note: it could be a vacuum leak or a post MAF intake leak...same symptoms and can cause strange codes.
