My BMW 318i e36 1998 feels like its going to stall

Hi, only started to happen today, when i stop my car feels like its going to stall. the cars should idle at about 800 rpm but it drops to around 200 then then goes back up.
Car: BMW 318i 3e6 1998
I heard it could be a dirty idle control pump ??? is this true

Never heard of an idle control pump, more likely to be a dirty idle control valve. Do the revs jump up above 800rpm after they dip to 200rpm or do they just return to normal?

they just return to normal. and it only dips once, if i rev the engine whilst stopped it dosent happen. Only happens when iv been driving.

Give cleaning the I.C.V a shot, its more likely that and its also the cheapest thing to do.
