Need help

Postby rob2903 on Tue Jul 20, 2010 9:39 pm

So am thinking of buying an bmw e36 318is or 318i coupe whats the difference in power??

Also what mpg do they get??? how many miles would you get from 10 pounds etc??

An e36 with say 100k on the clock is the car ok? how long will it last.

are parts expensive?? any common problems?

service intervals?

0-60 times 0-100 times and top speed??

any companys or websites that sell performance parts etc?

Hi, yea 318 is a good car, its not a rocket but for a 1.8/1.9 liter engine of that era they are powerful enough.
0-60 in just over 10seconds and then on to about 130mph.
Dont know about about the performance of economy but id say in or around the 35mpg mark.
No, parts are as cheap as chips, go to BMW and you will pay through the nose but there are so many E36's around you will always find the part you need in a scrap yard.
Don't worry about the odometer, pay someone to look at the car instead of judging the clock.
Iv heard of e36's doing a half mill miles before.
The ONLY Hellrot Red 323 in the world, emmm except for the other few thousand dotted around the world.
