Need some advice on headlights please...

Postby earthduzt on Wed Feb 23, 2011 1:32 am

Hi I'm brand new to these boards and just recently acquired a 92 BMW 325i. Mechanically it is very sound had alot of work done to get it in good running condition. So now I am working on the exterior looks. So I ordered some headlights from DDM with the angel eyes and 5k HID kit. At first I was not going to do HID's because I am just nervous about messing anything up. I decided to have the lights professionally installed, I drove around my city and there was hardly anyone that would touch doing lights. I did finally find one place that said they could do them easily for 70 dollars, that's installing just the headlights with angel eyes and 140 dollars if I want them to do HIDs. So I am really now pondering weather to do HIDs with my headlights. I'm just wondering how risky is it as far as "malfunctions". Here is a link to these guys site that will be doing my lights...although I don't like 90% of the cars in the pics, they look like they do a bad a$$ job at customizing and they most likely know what they are doing. What do you guys think, by looking at their work would you trust them to do your headlights (HID and Angel Eyes)?

Please tell me you haven't let your P&J go there?!?!? Those cars are of a certain taste...... The kind a blind man has!!! Fitting HiDs is easy and as long as you don't touch the bulbs you REALLY can't go wrong. The whole job including light removal should only take about an hour. Fitting the angel eyes is a little more tricky but with a steady hand and a hot glue gun will take no more than 2 hours. And at the end you will sit and grin like an insane person with a new set of crayons!!

Here's mine. I got them in stock condition then got bored so I de-lensed them and fitted angel eyes, HiDs and made my own shrouds

Yeah it's where the sidelight bulb was, my angel eyes plug in to the socket which held the bulb.
