Id start with the basics. Make sure everything running the car is solid. Since you got BMW, check for the Vanos rattle and if you got it, Id probably replace that. I always make sure my engine is in good running order first.

I always go in this order: engine, steering components, suspension system, exhaust system, exterior, then interior.

When i got my first BMW, I learned it isnt cheap to work on them. Im still earning money to work on mine. Good Luck

What did you want to do to it?

I started off with the same car as you and have done a large majority of the mods out there.
