obc beep three times sometimes.

hey mate, i've got 1996 BMW E36 328i and i heard 3 beeps sometimes, still comfused what happened.

also i found some solutions from the internet that it may be caused by the speed limit or something else from the on-board computer, so i reset all the settings of the on-board computer, but the problem still exist.

btw, i have replaced the radio to a pioneer cd player, does it cause that problem?

anyone got this trouble before???

btw, i need to get the engine oil service done, do u guys have any good advice for the engine oil? and is a 5 litres engine oil enough for 328i ?

Do you hear the 3 beeps only at times like XX:59? If this is the case, then your OBC is just trying to remind you that if you want to hear the news, it's time

Ya know, that keney guy had a silly question about beeping. I'm driving along and got those same 3 beeps at seemingly random times.
So when I read his question, I was thinking I have that same silly problem. <shrug>

Took a relatively long trip and got a series of beeps. LOOKED at the CLOCK !


EUREKA (except I wasn't running thru streets nakt, like my good friend, Archimedes did) I'd gotten my answer.
