On board computer

I have a '98 M3 with an eleven button on-board computer. Very few pixels remain making the display impossible to read. Do I need another on-board computer and if yes, will an 18 button model work?

Hi Gelish,

There's a DIY for fixing your OBC display. I wrote about it in my blog here Fixing Your BMW OBC Lights. It should help you fix the problem.

About upgrading your OBC to the 18-button model. I think I saw a DIY for that somewhere, but I can't remember where exactly. I think it was on pelican parts.

As Tony said there is a DIY around but from memory it requires a reasonable amount of re-wiring.
