performance and mods

Has anybody installed the older style intake manifold (OBD1, '92-95) on a newer (OBD2, '96-98) vehicle? I've looked at different installation kits and thought the Bimmerword kit looked the best, until I recieved it. I like the Bimmerworld special silicone hose, but I don't like the fact that it eliminates the support brackets for the oil separator and idle control motor. Does anybody know if the conversion kit from Turner Motorsports use the brackets?
Thanks, Pat

Nobody has been able to offer me any advise on converting to the older intake plenum, so I'll do the updating. After looking at the conversion kit and reading the instructions from Turner Motorsports, I ordered it and returned the original kit to Bimmerworld. The TM kit uses the original component pieces from the original intake plenum. It uses all the original brackets to support the components.
More later,
Pat

How are you finding the performance? Was it worth losing some of the low end torque for top end power?
