Ok after I bought the new flange (or whatever the term is) but it doesn't come with a dam seal!
Guy in parts dept says it mustn't come with a seal (even though the old one seemed to have one) so i got gasket sealant and hopefully that will do the job

Well after all that it didn't work! So it has to be the seal between the heater box and the bulkhead. Heaterbox is out so need to replace the seal it seems. If that isn't it then I'm out of ideas . . .

 That doesn't sound good. I haven't played with mine in the Bimmer but I remember removing the heater box from the Supra was an experience I’d rather not repeat.

K I removed the box and replaced the rubber seal and that has solved my leak!!! Yippee. There is alway a but however, now I seem to have a leak in my rad. Appears to be at the top as coolant only comes out when the engine is warm. I looked in the grill and there is a little bird splattered in there. I reckon he has punched a hole. Any tips on repairing it? Is that rad weld stuff any good?
