Removing headlights BMW M3 Convertible

Hi folks,

I was hoping someone would know how to remove headlights on a 1996 BMW M3 Evolution Convertible. I have removed the side indicator lights and main bolts on the headlight. However, the headlight will not slide out as it catches the chassis on both sides. It would appear that the front bumper needs to be removed to remove the lights (i.e. slide the lights down and out with the bumper removed). Before I do this, could anyone shed some light on whether I actually need to remove the bumper?

Thanks for your help!

Jonny

You don't need to remove the bumper to get the lights out. A bit of wiggling should get them out in no time once everything is undone.

Getting them out with the indicators attached is a pain in the a$$. When you say side indicators are you talking about the actual side ones or the corner ones?
