revcounter, MPG gauge and Water temp guage

I have recently bought 316i N reg and noticed that the Rev counter, MPG guage and water temp guage is not working. speedo and fuel guage works fine and the red warning light on the water temp guage works, does anyne know what the problem maybe or if its a common fault that i can fix?
