Reversing lights always on

Hi

Following on from reversing lights not working, I have the opposite problem. Whilst on hoildays in Italy I was flashed by a few trucks only to find my reversing lights on. The damn things would not go off so I took the bulbs out. Once home I checked very thing I could think of, I even disconnected the gearbox switch, but the lights stayed on, I also noticed that the rear view mirror auto dip had stopped working, I assume they must be on the same circuit. Is is possible that when reverse is engauged, the auto dip is turned off.

I am not at a loss, any help gratefully recieved.

On another note is it possible to adjust the aim of one headlamp, my passenger side main beam is miles to high, the dipped is OK.
