Roof came off

First of all, everybody a happy new year.

Hi people, I ended the year with a bang.
Came back from shopping while driving home I put my foot down and with 200 km/h the wind kinda ripped off my glass roof. Oops, luckily nobody was behind me but nevertheless I have a problem now.

My real question is: are all the electrical roofs that are build in by the factory the same seize.
I drive a 323ti compact, but is it possible to use a roof from let's say a sedan or coupe?

I only have half an answer for you, sorry.
AFAIK no e36 or e36/5 came with a glass roof from factory. I'd guess a previous owner either got one that fit from another BMW model or it's a custom roof.

You Compact is a e36/5 which from the a-pillar back is different to an e36.
This means your roof is different too. E36/5s take a lot from the e30s but I'm not sure if the sunroof is included in that.
