Postby ADRIAN8049 on Tue Oct 18, 2011 3:45 pm

hi, i have a bmw e36 convertible when the roof is down there are 2 holes 1 either side of the car i have been told that there should be 2 plastic flaps that pop up when the roof is down to cover these gaps. can anyone tell me what these are called, can they be replaced and where can i get them from? Any help would be appreciated

Wow, I guess 14-15 months is long enough to wait for an answer. I actually think you basically have it right...I think they are Roof Top Latch Flaps...???? I would suggest a salvage yard, or e-bay.

I don't think they'll be back to see your reply.

Hey VMZ...I'll bet you are right. Shame it happens like that....and lately I have been so busy, I feel I have been neglecting my "resolution" to try to help more where that doesn't happen. I remember how quickly you got back to me with my question about the gas gage and range...and how pleased I was. Thanks...jimf

I can see where you're comping from and think it's a great resolution. I just think bringing back threads that are well and truly dead makes a bit of a mess and then people start replying to them as they're at the top of the list instead of focusing on the people who are asking for help now.
