roof problem

hi guys hope you can, i've got a 97 cab with a fully automatic roof,i bought with a roof problem the guy i bought it of told me the roof module was knackered so i replaced it but still no luck,so far i've spent nearly 500 hundred pounds and still no where.i've pulled the lever under the rear seat but it seems the roof lid is stuck i've tried to do it by hand but the lid is stuck solid tried allsorts but nuthin, is there anyone who knows if thers another way to open the damn lid.appreciate any help at all guys
