serious clutch problem

Hey everyone,

Just the other day i hopped in my car (93 bmw 318i) and found the clutch pedal was completely loose (just super easy to push, didn't feel like it was doing anything) and wasn't disengaging the clutch at all when i pressed it. When i tried to start the car in first with my foot on the clutch it jumped forward as if i wasn't pressing the clutch. I've got it booked in for the mechanic on monday but i thought i'd post it up on here just in case it's something simple i can fix myself.

Any thoughts on what it could be? I thought maybe it might be low on clutch fluid but couldn't find the reservoir (does it take from the same reservoir as the brake fluid?).

Cheers,

Conor

Yea it piggy backs off the break system, check your break fluid level.
