she drops revs then picks the starts idling rough

i'm driving 328i e 36 automatic while driving this car just drops rev and picks up again but then it starts running rough
or at times just switches off i tried cleaning icv but no help...any one can help out there

Hello mate, that's so strange, I drive that same car and I have the same problem, mine started yesterday, I thought I broke down at one point because she wouldn't start, I was thinking of cleaning the icv today but from what I've read, either a pipe has a leak or it the oxygen sensor need replacing or it could be the gearbox which is unlikely, I'm going to reset my ecu today and if that helps, let me know how you get on with yours and if I solve the problem I'll let you know mate.
