strut tower brace and traction control

I have been looking on ebay for a front strut tower brace to stabilise my convertible 328i but they seem to ALL be incompatible with ASC equipped cars. This strikes me as odd for a couple of reasons: 1) what do the FRONT strut towers have to do with traction control and 2) isn't ASC standard on all of these cars?

Anyone with experience with these things (braces) please let me know where I might find the proper one for my car or how I might modify one of these to work.

Thanks!

The origional post was about 20 months ago and the poster hasn't been around since but since it's been brought to the top...

There's more e36s with no ASC than there are with it.
Most strut braces arent compatable with ASC because the ASC butterfly linkage sits too high. If you remove the ASC body and replace it with a 3" 90 degree silicone bend.
