Im not to certain about replacing the motor, you can on most other cars but a bmw aint "most other cars" What happens alot though, is the guide wire that attaches to the motor, that propels the window up and down, sometimes comes off the runners. Would be worth looking at it 1st before actually purchasing a motor.

The 2 scrap yards on the nass road have 4 or 5 e36's, was there yesterday. They have 2 coupes, 2 saloons and one compact. Was the regulator you got, was it out of the same car as yours?
Whats the traction control light look like? Your car would'nt fail just because the traction control is turned off, most cars from the early 90s and before that did'nt even come with traction control!!

No, when your going southbound on the M50 and turn off for long mile road. The slip road veers off to the left and you join the Nass road where there is 3 lanes. Stay in the left lane and 100 feet after you join the 3 lanes there is a really small left turn onto what look like a dirt road and there in there.
The link is a picture of google maps, the little hand (mouse pointer) is over the location of the road, its just a dirt road and if you blink you will drive past it. Its not on google maps.
