i have found a bloke that can tint my windows for $250aud any colour i want. just wanted recomendations on what to get i was thinking maybe a very very dark blue or just a strat black. whats veryone's thoughts?

First of all... nice bimmer! Gorgeous rims.

Since your car is black (right?), amost any colour will do. I'd like to see what a very dark blue can achieve, indeed.

Whichever you choose, please post some pics after you've had it done, so we can see it too

Since the car is painted black I would go with black tint to the darkest legal level. Good luck.

I have to agree with Alex. No matter how dark it is it should def be black. When I got mine tinted I was considering a dark blue, b/c my 325 is dark blue. However guys that did my tint strongly recommended a straight black tint b/c the colored ones tend to look cheap. I was glad I took their advise.

yeah exactly somehow they look cheap, i love my black 5%, get busted a couple times but after put them just feel weird with out them

Sure, black is the safe choice. But if you want to go blue it is easy, let them show you a sample of how it looks. If it looks cheap, then it is black. If it suits your taste, then blue it should be. I've seen blue in buses, and it surely looked ugly and cheap. But I've seen some blues in nice looking cars that really did add a nice touch.

That was about colours, now about having a dark or a clear tint: 5%, 10%... anything too dark IMHO is not as good looking as the clearer tints. Maybe if you had a white bimmer you could go as dark as you please, but since you have... well... the opposite of a white bimmer... It is like wearing all plain black clothes. Where is the contrast? You would probably end up looking like a dork

black.. as dark as u can get.. take care of legal issue when u get busted.. ... i put 5% black on mine.. looks superb.. haven't been busted yet..

where i live in aus the legal limit is 20% but i think i will go 10%thanks again for everyone's input.
