what the hell is this?

Ive found this wire/plug under my passenger seat in a 1994 318is, anybody have any clue as to what it might be

This is the cable for heated seats and you should have two. One under the driver's seat and the other under the passanger's seat.
Each one should be connected to the seat itself by a socket. Try to look under your seat for a dangling wire (you should find it coming out of the seat). This is supposed to be connected with the one in the picture.

There are usually three cables to connect or vice versa that are under the seat. ALso depends on what kind of seat you have.
