window won't close,.........

hi guys, when im trying to close the passenger side window, it will go half way up then come back down, i then have to close it bit by bit, i have changed the window switch but its still happening.. has anyone else had this problem and if so how did you fix it thanxs in advance..........

I have had the same problem in the past more than once. Each time it was the door connection . There is an electronic chip in the door connector (mounted on the car) and it controls the window as the doors open and close to prevent windows from shattering in hot months. This at least what I was told why they operate this way.
The fix is to replace the part. A pain in the U-know what though in '95 & 94 cars, as the final commection point for th plug-in is behind the back seat. In '96 & on models, they changed the system so that the repair is all right at the connector.
