Would the xenon headlights work without a hid xenon kit?

I have a bmw e46 2005, and I intend to install some xenon headlights. When I was looking around online, I saw xenon HId kits on the allobd2.c o m .But I was wondering that can I just buy a pair of xenon headlights without a xenon HID kit?

Yes you can.
HID isn't the same as Xenon so I'm not sure what those lights you found, are.

This is an E36 forum so there's not going to be much talk of Xenon.
Bimmerfest or E46fanatics would be a better source for info on Xenon conversions.
