boot/trunk lid

Help, hi I'm new to site was on bimmer but now here. Ive now got my second e36 having realised I cant afford to run a 740i. Can any one help me, I cant get the boot lid to unlock, its a328i cabrio. 95, when I try the key in the lock I can hear a solenoid clicking any one got any Ideas? The cent. Locking works ok else where from the remote fob! Cheers John
