Cheap 325is project car

Postby cantbuytime on Sat Dec 19, 2009 11:40 pm

Hello all, new to these forums... But this is my second E36.. i had a 1995 318i sedan, man it was so sweet.. i really miss it.

So I grabbed this 325is with automatic trans and a substantial amount of minor body damage.. $800.. Car has 256k on it but motor and trans both have 60k on them. i have a M3 front bumper, a used grille , fenders and hood already , just waiting to go on...

The only bad damage was on the rear drivers quarter.. instead of replacing with the oem quarter panel I was wanting to cut it out and add Widebody quarters like the ACS, but only for the rear.. Just so i can get some more meat tucked under it.

Can i get just the rear quarters similar to these.?

Here is the 325is i bought.

UPDATE:

A friend offered me $600 for the wheels this morning, so I had to take it.. The car cost me $200 bucks so far and $100 to get the title transferred ..

Well I am gonna throw the stock wheels on it until I can tuck the wheels I want.. Anybody know if 20's tucked in the Rear is possible with those wide body quarters?
(I dont want to go too wide of fender cause I dont want to do the front)

I drove it around a for about 2 hours straight. I had stop and go traffic for an hour of it and no problems. A/c and all the digital stuff works great.. runs like a dream.

Does however need struts and shocks. When I change them I'm Gonna put in Eibach springs as well..

Hey ya and welcome.
You didnt say where in the world you are but your best bet would be a breakers yard/dismantlers for parts. I wouldnt even know where to start looking for the wide arches. Someone on here has fitted 20s on there e36 but i cant remember if there was substantial work needed to be done 1st.
Keep us updated with the project.

The gauge indicates normal factory when the car is warmed up and just be in the normal until it is hot. At my request, BMP built a console just for project 325 with a temperature gauge water instead of the voltage gauge. It also came with a ton of parts in the trunk, and a spoiler on the passenger seat. So far I have found Euro taillights, a gauge cluster, the direction w / airbag wheel, shift knob, engine covers, radiator and fan. There are other things to look at too. It also included a shift kit, and he found some various fluids for your car.
