dashboard lights staying on

i have a 1996 e36 convertable when i turn ignition off and take keys out all the lights on the dashboard stay on i've checked all the fuses and relays and they all seem, ok has any 1 ever come across this problem b 4 or does any 1 have any suggestons?

Have you resolved this? If not, You could try The fuse removal trick VMZ ....remove fuse 46, turn key to on position...10 seconds...turn key off and reinstall fuse. Then restart vehicle. I don't know if it would work for this but worked for my need to reset fuel reading...and 46 (on mine) is related to display lights.
